Lv Xiaolei

Secretary General, Shanghai Fashion Week Organizing Committee and Executive Vice Chairman, Shanghai Fashion Designers Association

The textile and retail industry veteran helped turn Shanghai Fashion Week into China’s most influential B2B fashion event.

Lv Xiaolei

Lv Xiaolei, commonly known as Madame Lu, is responsible for Shanghai Fashion Week’s early rise and its reputation as China’s unrivalled industry event. In helping it outcompete similar events from other major Chinese cities, she positioned Shanghai as a global fashion capital. Under her leadership, fashion week has attracted numerous high-profile retailers, press and exhibitors. Leveraging her vast network of industry leaders and influential figures, Lv built Shanghai Fashion Week into a multi-dimensional event featuring both runway and trade shows, as well as industry forums.

During her tenure and under the Shanghai Fashion Week umbrella, Lv created the Mode Shanghai Fashion Trade Show — the first of its kind in the country. In 2016, she initiated the Labelhood project, a showcase dedicated to China’s young designers. She served as the general manager of Shanghai International Fashion Centre and as the secretary general of the Shanghai Fashion Week Organizing Committee. Prior to her role at fashion week, Lv worked in the textile and apparel retail sectors.
