Tracy Sun
Co-Founder & Vice-President, Poshmark
As co-founder of Poshmark, one of the largest peer-to-peer fashion resale platforms, Sun has attracted over 4 million sellers.

Tracy Sun is the co-founder and vice-president of merchandising at Poshmark, one of largest peer-to-peer fashion resale platforms.
Sun was at the helm of turning the Silicon Valley start-up into a giant community marketplace for fashion, which boasts over 4 million sellers, and was among the first e-commerce platforms to go mobile-first. Poshmark has been at the forefront of the retail industry through its in-app wholesale marketplace that levels up casual sellers into profitable boutiques.
Born in Kuala Lumpur and raised in New York, Sun thought neuropsychology would be her future, undertaking a degree in biology and psychology from Columbia University. She subsequently interned at Brooklyn Industries, where she rose to vice-president of merchandising in three years, and turned her attention to the intersection of fashion and tech.
After receiving an MBA from Dartmouth University, she founded Poshmark. Since its launch in 2010, Poshmark has raised almost $160 million in funding. Today, one in 30 American women sell on the app, engaging an average of seven times per day.
The platform’s differentiator in the fashion-tech space is the Wholesale Portal, launched in 2015, which allows its most successful sellers to purchase new items wholesale, both expanding the sellers’ business and bringing wholesale purchases under the Poshmark umbrella.
Sun has been highlighted as a "Top Female Tech Founder" by USA Today and TechCrunch, and named amongst the "Woman Making Waves in Tech" by Refinery29.
