Timothée Chalamet

Actor

The Oscar-nominated actor has pushed fashion boundaries and redefined what men’s red carpet wear can look like.

Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet is an actor, producer, style icon and ambassador for Cartier and Chanel.

Chalamet has been working in Hollywood for over a decade, but it is within the past five years that he has risen to international superstardom thanks to roles in films like Little Women, Lady Bird, Dune and Call Me by Your Name, earning an Oscar nomination for the latter. In March 2024, Chalamet signed a multi-year first-look deal with Warner Bros. Discovery as both an actor and a producer, following the historic success of “Wonka“ and “Dune: Part Two.“ He is the first actor since 1978 to lead the top two domestic grossing films released within an eight-month period.

As his star as an actor has risen, so has his prominence in fashion. Chalamet has become synonymous with pushing fashion boundaries, particularly regarding the expectations for leading men on the red carpet, as he embraces bold colours, unique tailoring and gender-neutral ensembles. Among his most notable looks are a sparkly black Louis Vuitton harness at the 2019 Golden Globes, a baby pink seersucker Thom Browne suit at the 2019 premiere of Little Women and a metallic red halter-necked pantsuit by Haider Ackermann at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.

Despite his star power in the industry, Chalamet remains selective regarding his brand partnerships. He was named a “Friend of the House“ for Cartier in 2021 and has since co-designed several custom high-jewellery pieces with the maison. In May 2023, he was appointed the official Brand Ambassador for Bleu de Chanel, marking his debut in the beauty sector. Chalamet has found other ways to take on influential roles in the industry: he served as a co-chair of the 2021 Met Gala and teamed up with Ackermann to create a hoodie to support women’s and children’s rights in Afghanistan.

In October 2022, he became the first man to grace a solo cover of British Vogue. As of 2026, he continues to bridge the gap between blockbuster cinema and high-luxury artistry, with projects including recently released and Oscar-nominated “Marty Supreme” and upcoming “Dune: Part Three.”
