Tamara Abukhadra
Founder & Chief Executive, Homegrown Market
The pioneering retailer made the booming Saudi market more accessible for designers from across the wider Middle East and North Africa region.

Tamara Abukhadra is the founder of Homegrown Market, a concept store based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The pioneering retailer champions designers from the Middle East and North Africa region, acting as a mentor and distributor for both emerging and established brands seeking greater access to her home market. What began as a single store in 2014 housing just ten Saudi brands, today houses more than 300 brands from across the region. By 2024, Abukhadra had expanded the footprint of Homegrown Market to five locations across the kingdom including the tourist resort hotspot of Al-Ula.
Under her leadership, Homegrown Market has evolved into a destination store featuring a curation of high-quality wardrobe items designed by Arab talent. Abukhadra sought to create a retail environment that would not only showcase their work but also celebrate the cultural narratives behind each piece. Featuring her unique take on laidback luxury, each store in the chain is curated differently, stocking an eclectic range of products. Abukhadra started her career in marketing at Liberty London, and then went on to brand management at Procter & Gamble. She is a board member of the Saudi Fashion Association.
