Stefano Gallici is creative director of Ann Demeulemeester, appointed in 2023 to lead the iconic Belgian fashion house into a new era. With a refined, poetic approach to tailoring and an instinct for fluid identity, Gallici has reinterpreted the brand’s legacy with quiet innovation and emotional depth.

Gallici studied fashion at the Università Iuav in Venice before moving to Antwerp, where he worked as an assistant to Haider Ackermann — an experience that sharpened his sensitivity to silhouette, fabric, and the expressive power of clothing. In 2019, he joined the Antonioli Group, founded by Claudio Antonioli, which would acquire Ann Demeulemeester the following year. Initially serving as menswear designer, Gallici worked to reshape the label from within before taking the creative helm.

His first runway show for Ann Demeulemeester, presented for Spring/Summer 2024, marked a subtle but notable evolution. Through flowing silhouettes and fluid tailoring, Gallici honoured the house’s minimalist, romantic heritage while asserting a personal vision.

Gallici continues to work to revive demand and deepen the narrative of Ann Demeulemeester. The brand is now stocked via its DTC channels as well as Dover Street Market, Selfridges and Farfetch.
