Simone Bellotti
Creative Director, Jil Sander
The creative director is tasked with forging a new era at OTB’s Jil Sander after a critically-acclaimed tenure at Bally where he fused Italian craft techniques with a sharp, modernist eye and eclectic styling.

Simone Bellotti is the creative director of Jil Sander. He is notable for bringing decades of behind-the-scenes mastery to the forefront at Bally, fusing Italian craft techniques with a sharp, modernist eye and eclectic references to earn a new spotlight.
Born in 1978 in Giussano, Italy, Bellotti began his career at AF Vandevorst in Antwerp before returning to Italy for senior design roles at houses including Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Gianfranco Ferré and Carol Christian Poell. He spent 16 formative years at Gucci under both Frida Giannini and Alessandro Michele, where he honed an adaptable design sensibility that blends technical rigour with poetic detail.
In late 2022, he joined Swiss brand Bally as design director and was swiftly promoted to creative director in 2023, overseeing a repositioning that brought contemporary clarity and a deeper palette of cultural influences. His collections won critical acclaim and reasserted Bally’s luxury potential.
In March 2025, Bellotti was appointed creative director of Jil Sander, succeeding Luke and Lucie Meier. Industry observers are forecasting a distinctive evolution for the brand — one that honours Sander’s architectural purity while embracing Bellotti’s restrained sensuality and humour.
