Shona Heath

Set Designer

The set designer pioneered the genre with her whimsical, fantastical props for noted fashion photographer Tim Walker.

Shona Heath

Pre-eminent British set designer Shona Heath has collaborated on advertising campaigns with an extensive list of luxury labels that includes Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Miu Miu and Christian Dior. Regularly creating sets for British Vogue editorials, Heath’s whimsical and fantastical décor has also been seen in W magazine, AnOther, Dazed & Confused and Harper’s Bazaar.

A graduate of fashion design from the University of Brighton, Heath’s natural affinity for costume design and show-pieces led her to begin working on set productions shortly after completing her degree in 1999. Represented by the CLM talent agency, Heath’s long standing collaborations with photographers such as Tim Walker , Paolo Roversi and Tim Gutt have made her one of the industry’s most prominent set designers and art directors. In 2011, Heath was recruited by Lanvin to create a life-size replica of a willow tree for their Autumn/Winter 2011 catwalk show and has since designed for the Lanvin for H&M show and Prada Menswear Autumn/Winter 2013.

Alongside regular set productions, Heath has also designed packaging for Anne Taylor, T-shirts for Clements Ribeiro and window displays for Topshop’s flagship store on Oxford Street.

Since 2015, Shona has collaborated with Marni, building creative and colourful architecture with a feminine and contemporary use of space. In March 2019, Heath curated the 300-item Tim Walker exhibition put on by the V&A.
