Shay Ashual

Shay Ashual is a celebrated hair stylist and wig-maker, who works with the likes of Dior, Chloé and Vogue to execute his creative vision. 

“My specialty is making wigs as real as they can be.” Ashual explained to The Last Magazine. “I wanted something as normal as possible.” His celebrity clients include  Karlie Kloss and Scarlett Johansson, while magazines including international editions of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar are frequent clients. 

Based in New York, Ashual has collaborated on advertising campaigns for Calvin Klein , shot by Willy Vanderperre , and Balmain, lensed by Steven Klein . He has worked as hair stylist to Lady Gaga on multiple occasions including her "Applause" music video and has styled covers for American Vogue, Elle US and V magazine. He is also the hairstylist behind Kim Kardashian's American Vogue May 2019 cover shoot.
