"Teezee" Teni Zaccheaus & Seni Saraki
Co-Founders, The Native Magazine
The trailblazing duo champions African youth culture through a music-meets-style magazine that opens doors for Nigerian and regional fashion creatives.

"Teezee" Teni Zaccheaus and Seni Saraki are co-founders of The Native Networks, a Nigerian media group established in 2016, alongside Addy Edgal, Suleiman Shittu & Olusola Fagbemi. The duo set out to authentically contextualise the cultural renaissance happening in Africa’s most populous country and champion regional creatives. Evolving from its roots as a festival called Nativeland, the business now encompasses The Native Magazine, music label Native Records, and a burgeoning TV and film division. The magazine’s stylists and photographers have emerged as a valuable conduit for global brands looking to dress African musicians with global fanbases — and strengthen their appeal among African customers.
Teezee, a pioneer of Nigeria’s alté style subculture, has spent over a decade shaping youth-focused content from across the region. A musician and co-president of Native Records, he is credited with discovering breakout star Odumodublvck and has collaborated with artists such as Tems, Kid Cudi and Skepta. Teezee’s work extends to market entry campaigns for brands such as Nike and Umbro in the region. He also launched his own fashion label Zacchi.
Saraki, who serves as chief executive of The Native Networks and editor-in-chief of The Native Magazine, has become a prominent voice in documenting African culture. Under his leadership, the magazine featured artists Burna Boy and Tems in some of their earliest cover shoots, and Rema and Tyla in some of their first editorial features. Saraki's work also extends to film, where he has contributed to award-winning soundtracks for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" and "Bob Marley: One Love."
