Sebastián Díez

Sebastián Díez is the president of Inexmoda, the organisation behind Colombiamoda and Colombiatex, two of Latin America’s largest fashion and textile trade fairs, both held in Medellin, Colombia. Since assuming leadership in 2023, Díez has injected Colombiamoda, the country’s leading fashion week and trade show event, with a global outlook and youthful energy. He has also helped raise the profile of ‘made-in-Colombia’ materials by attracting prominent regional exhibitors and global buyers to Inexmoda’s textile sourcing event Colombiatex.

Strengthening Medellín’s position as a centre of textile innovation and garment manufacturing excellence, Díez has prioritised high-growth sectors such as sportswear, swimwear, intimates and athleisure. Under his guidance, Colombiamoda has hosted events beyond Latin America, including showcases in Miami and roadshows across the wider US market. Díez rose through the ranks of Inexmoda for over a decade before taking the reins, developing deep connections with Colombia’s industry titans and creative leaders. He received a BA in international business and an MBA from EAFIT University in Colombia, before pursuing a retail management programme at EADA Business School in Spain.
