Sarah Andelman
Founder, Just An Idea
Along with her mother, she opened Parisian concept store Colette that was world-renowned for its tight edits.

Sarah Andelman is the founder and creative director of Colette, a chic Parisian concept store located on the city’s Rue Saint Honoré. In July 2017 it was announced the store would close its doors after 20 years. She recently launched consulting and curating company Just An Idea, connecting people from various disciplines.
Famed for her discerning fashion edits and quirky mix of lifestyle products, Andelman store became one of Paris’ premiere fashion pit-stops. Drawn to an eclectic mix of high fashion and edgy streetwear, Andelman regularly showcases designs from up-and-coming designers, and was one of the first to stock collections by Proenza Schouler, Mary Katrantzou and Rodarte.
Andelman has regularly teamed up with luxury brands to create a limited-edition range of collectibles for the Colette store. Past collaborations include a blue dotted Brides De Gala Hermès scarf and a selection of candy-floss flavoured macarons by iconic French bakery Ladurée.
A former art student at the École du Louvre and intern at Purple Magazine, Andelman established Colette in 1997 alongside her mother Colette Roussaux, after whom the store is named. The store quickly became renowned for its revolutionary approach to retail, such as weekly product updates, and an in-store restaurant and mineral water bar.
Colette has since inspired cult concept stores around the world.
