Robert Wun

Founder & Creative Director, Robert Wun

The haute couture designer known for his sculptural shapes and cinematic references made history as the first designer from Hong Kong to join the official Paris Haute Couture Calendar, appearing as a guest member of The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.

Robert Wun

Robert Wun is the founder and creative director of his namesake couture line. He is the first designer from Hong Kong to join the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s official couture week calendar. Known for his cinematic tailoring, sculptural silhouettes and imaginative accessories mixing theatrical flair with technical precision, Wun has quickly emerged as a fashion visionary to watch.

Wun was discovered by Hong Kong’s Joyce Boutique after presenting his graduate collection at London College of Fashion in 2012. After 2 years as a freelancer in the industry he launched his label in 2014, focusing initially on custom-only collections that merged avant-garde with storytelling rooted in nature, fantasy, and film. His designs — featuring sharp tailoring, conceptual footwear and bold accessories — blur the lines between costume and couture. In January 2023, with the support of Chanel president Bruno Pavlovsky, Wun made his Paris runway debut. His Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture show closed the official couture week, which marked a milestone for both the designer and his home city.

In 2022, Wun won the prestigious ANDAM Special Prix Awards. His designs have been featured in collaborations with The Royal Ballet, the Hunger Games film series, and acclaimed director Wong Kar Wai. He has also dressed artists including Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Adele, Cardi B, Florence Pugh, Cate Blanchett and Idris Elba. His designs are stocked at H. Lorenzo and Dover Street Market.
