Paula Reed
Consultant
After a stint at Harvey Nichols and German e-tailer, MyTheresa, the respected fashion journalist joined luxury Middle Eastern retailer Boutique 1 as it opened its first UK store.

Paula Reed, an established British journalist and fashion editor, is widely recognised for her work in the fashion and style pages of prominent UK publications including The Sunday Times, Harper’s Bazaar, In Style UK and Condé Nast Traveller. Cited as an instrumental figure in the launch of Grazia magazine in 2005, Reed held the position of style director for seven years at the weekly publication, before taking up the role of fashion director at Harvey Nichols London flagship in September 2012, a role for which Reed was approached directly by the store.
Reed departed from Harvey Nichols in October 2013 and in January 2014, joined luxury fashion e-tailer Mytheresa.com as creative director. In November 2015, it was announced that Reed joined luxury fashion retailer Boutique 1 Group as director of brand strategy. The group, which operates four stores across the Middle East, was due to open its London flagship in Sloane Square in Spring 2016. She left the company in August 2016 and since established herself as a content strategist and brand consultant, specialising in luxury e-commerce, trend analysis and art direction.
Moving to London in the mid '80s on completion of her degree in French and German from Trinity College Dublin, the Northern Irish native secured a position with infamous PR guru Lynne Franks, followed by brief roles with designers Katherine Hamnett, Jasper Conran and Rifat Ozbek. Starting her first newspaper role at The Independent, Reed worked her way up to fashion director, quickly developing her editorial credentials.
Reed’s first book Style Clinic was released by publishers Harper Collins in 2009 and met with positive reviews from many in the fashion industry. Collaborating with the Design Museum in 2010, Reed also published a series of style books based on the museum’s internationally successful Fifty Series. The book focused on 50 key fashion pieces from each of the eras from 1950 to 1990. Reed has also guest-starred on several television shows including Project Catwalk and 10 Years Younger.
