Pat Boguslawski is a movement director at Maison Margiela, known for his innovative and dynamic approach to runway choreography. His collaboration with John Galliano has been particularly notable, as he has been instrumental in creating some of the most memorable fashion show moments with the designer in recent years. Boguslawski's unique ability to infuse emotion and narrative into his work has made him a sought-after talent in the industry.
Born in Łódź, Poland, Boguslawski's journey to becoming a leading movement director is rooted in his diverse background in dance, acting and modelling. His career took a pivotal turn when then creative director of Alexander McQueen Sarah Burton recognised his talent during a fashion show rehearsal and asked him to guide the other models.
Boguslawski's transition from modelling to movement direction was incremental yet impactful. He found his calling while assisting choreographer Aaron Sillis and later working with FKA twigs which solidified his resolve to pursue movement direction full-time. Boguslawski has been a key player in the Maison Margiela’s theatrical and emotionally charged runway shows beginning in 2018. His work includes the viral walk of Leon Dame in 2019, which captured global attention for its bold and unconventional style. More recently, Boguslawski's projects have included high-profile collaborations with Dior Beauty, Chanel, Tom Ford and Louis Vuitton, showcasing his versatility and broad appeal.
His approach continues to inspire and push the boundaries of fashion movement, proving that the runway can be a powerful medium for storytelling.
