Mix Wei
Editor-in-Chief, W Magazine China
The celebrity stylist has become even more influential in his home country since securing the top job at W Magazine China.

With a sphere of influence spanning major red carpets and glossy cover shoots, celebrity stylist and W Magazine China editor-in-chief Mix Wei is a veteran of the fashion media industry. In early 2023, W Magazine announced the launch of its Chinese edition under a partnership with MC Style Media, the publisher of Marie Claire China where Wei worked as a stylist at the time. Since he was tapped to lead the new title, he has helped secure not only top photographer and film director collaborators like Yimou Zhang, Hirokazu Kore-eda and Leslie Sun but also a roster of luxury clients.
Wei, who studied luxury business management at Milan’s Istituto Europeo di Design, cut his teeth at the Chinese edition of Madame Figaro, where he eventually became its fashion director. The role, which saw him rub shoulders with numerous high-profile celebrities, provided a lead-in to styling, which he uses to boost global luxury brands, smaller niche labels and homegrown Chinese designers. Under the banner of StationX, which sees him lead styling and fashion brand consulting projects, he counts A-list actors like Gong Li, Zhang Ziyi, Shu Qi and Liu Yifei as longtime clients.
