A Prada muse and i-D cover star, the Argentinian’s shaggy fringe and strong jawline have made her a model to watch.

Mica Arganaraz

A Prada muse and i-D cover star, Argentinian Mica Arganarez has been variously referred to as 2017 breakout model and has since become a runway staple.

Signed after sending a Polaroid to boutique Buenos Aires agency LO, the rising star was soon referred to international agency Viva. She has since featured on the cover of Vogue Japan and Vogue Brasil, Harper's Bazaar Argentina, Elle France Elle Argentina, shot by the likes of Mert and Marcus and Willy Vanderperre , and her stock continues to go up. She has opened and closed a myriad shows from Miu Miu to Margiela, and has walked for Valentino, Givenchy, Celine, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Dior. Instantly recognisable for her shaggy fringe and strong jawline, Arganarez is in demand.

Arganaraz has featured in editorials for The New York Times’ T Magazine, American Vogue, Love, W and Dazed & Confused and was the first model to feature solo in a Prada campaign since Sasha Pivovarova. In the Autumn/Winter 2014 campaign, shot by Steven Meisel , Arganarez is pictured against a concrete backdrop in Bedford Hills New York.

A testament to her successful rise within the industry, Arganaraz has been nominated for Models.com's Model of the Year Awards in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

It felt like a breakthrough for Nicolas Ghesquière. If the brand’s raison d'être is travel, he’d certainly found his own way into the idea: time, not place.
