Dramatic image-makers and frequent contributors to Vogue and Elle, the photographic duo have pushed for greater diversity in Brazilian fashion.

Marcos Florentino and Kelvin Yule are the creatives behind the fashion photography duo Mar+Vin. Frequent contributors to the Brazilian editions of Vogue and Elle, they have also shot for Harper’s Bazaar, Essence and Metal Magazine, among other publications. In 2023, Mar+Vin was included in the British Fashion Council’s 50 New Wave talents. The duo incorporate thematic cultural elements from their Brazilian hometowns through colour grading and face paint. Embracing their status as political artists, the pair push for greater representation of Black and dark-skinned Brazilians within the local fashion industry.

Close collaborators since they met in 2016, the pair have photographed celebrities including Viola Davis, Tilda Swinton and Lewis Hamilton. Florentino and Yule were finalists at the 2023 and 2025 Latin American Fashion Awards in the category of Fashion Photographer of the Year, and their 2023 short film “Rito,” starring Erykah Badu, was also a finalist for Best Fashion Film. Their joint work has been exhibited in Brazil, France, South Korea, the US and UK. Florentino, who hails from a small village in Piaui, moved to Sao Paulo at 18 and studied graphic design. Yule, originally from the coast of Bahia, studied journalism at university.
