Marcia Kilgore is a beauty industry entrepreneur, whose first venture Bliss Spa — a boutique day spa she launched in 1996 in New York — was considered a revolutionising formula to beauty spas, landing her the cover of Time Magazine at the age of 29. After selling the company to LVMH three years later, Kilgore went on to launch a series of brands including Soap & Glory — a skincare label she later sold to Boots UK — and Fit Flop, an ergonomic footwear company which is now sold in 64 markets globally. In 2015, Kilgore established Foam and Substance, a parent company of her two most recent ventures: Soaper Duper and Beauty Pie, an industry-disrupting subscription service that sells beauty products at factory cost to its members, launched in December 2016.
