Designer, Manish Malhotra

The Bollywood favourite made his name as a costume designer, and hit a new milestone with a new Delhi store and record turnover.

Manish Malhotra

One of Bollywood’s most successful costume designers Manish Malhotra designs a ready-to-wear line in addition to his work for film. The designer showcased his ready-to-wear collection in 2006 at Mumbai’s Lakme Fashion Week. He is predominately known for his vibrant, colour blocked womenswear and intricate use of Kashmiri embroidery.

His line is worn by some of Bollywood’s most famous stars, including Priyanka Chopra , Kajol, and Parineeti Chopra. He has shown at South Africa Fashion Week, Dubai Fashion Week, Wills India Fashion Week, Delhi Couture Week and India Resort Fashion Week.

Celebrating 20 illustrious years of the Manish Malhotra brand, his influence now spans continents, with flagship boutiques in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and his first international flagship in Dubai. As the creative force behind some of the world’s most iconic moments, including his recent role as creative director for the Ambani wedding, Malhotra continues to elevate Indian artistry to new heights.

His foray into high jewellery in 2023 has swiftly garnered international acclaim, gracing the world’s most coveted red carpets, with global icons such as Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Coco Jones and Zayn Malik donning his creations. Manish’s works have graced prestigious venues like the Philadelphia Museum and the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. He also made a debut at The Met Gala, becoming the first Indian designer to present not one, but FOUR unforgettable looks at fashion’s biggest night.
