Law Roach
Stylist
The stylist and America’s Next Top Model judge works with Hollywood celebrities and is the man behind the styling reinvention of Celine Dion.

Law Roach is a stylist, television personality and creative director who has fundamentally reshaped celebrity styling in the digital age. The “image architect,” most widely recognised for his era-defining partnership with Zendaya, announced a surprise retirement from full-time celebrity styling in March 2023. He has since transitioned into a broader creative role, continuing to work exclusively as Zendaya’s creative director while focusing on education, media and literature.
Roach began his career at his now-defunct Deliciously Vintage boutique in Chicago’s Pilsen neighbourhood. His styling debut occurred by chance when Kanye West visited the store in 2009, drawing the attention of paparazzi and industry insiders. An outsider to the traditional fashion system, Roach moved to Los Angeles and was introduced to Zendaya, who became his first major client. Together, they pioneered ‘method styling’, where red-carpet looks mirror the themes of her film projects—most notably seen during the 2024 Dune: Part Two and Challengers press tours.
In 2016, Roach was a judge for cycle 23 of America’s Next Top Model. That same year, he partnered with Celine Dion for her triumphant fashion transformation during Couture Week in Paris. In 2017, he became the first African American stylist to cover The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Stylist & Stars’ issue. His industry influence was further solidified in November 2022 when he received the CFDA’s inaugural Stylist Award.
Roach’s work at the Met Gala has become a fixture of fashion history. Following his 2019 “fairy godfather” debut with Zendaya, he co-curated her dual archival looks by Maison Margiela and Givenchy for the 2024 Met Gala. In 2025, he served as a creative partner for the exhibition Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
As of 2026, Roach has expanded his influence through media and education. He serves as a judge on the 2025/2026 reboot of Project Runway (Season 21) and co-hosted the competition series OMG Fashun. In October 2024, he published his first book, “How to Build a Fashion Icon: Notes on Confidence from the World’s Only Image Architect.” He is also the lead instructor and owner of the School of Style, an online platform dedicated to formalising the styling profession.
