Kerim Ture
Founder, Modanisa
The Turkish entrepreneur has built a vast e-commerce platform selling modest fashion at accessible prices that appeals to style-conscious consumers around the world.

Kerim Ture is the founder of Modanisa, a modest fashion e-tailer based in Istanbul, Turkey with an increasingly global customer base. Having launched the platform in 2011 with the aim of improving the available offering to an underserved market segment, he helped reinvigorate the modest fashion category for trend-conscious consumers and expanded the range of fashion-forward styles available at accessible prices from both private label and third-party brands.
Having expanded the firm’s global footprint, Ture developed localised language sites for many national markets in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and North America. In 2019, analysts cited by the Financial Times estimated that annual revenues for Modanisa were $120 to $150 million. By September 2022, Ture, who was chief executive at the time, and his partners had raised over $45 million in seven funding rounds, according to data from Crunchbase. Since then, he deployed high-profile marketing campaigns like those with brand ambassador Halima Aden. The Turkish-born alumnus of Boston University was listed as one of the "Top 50 Leaders of Global Islamic Economy" in the 2020 edition of Islamica 500.
