June Sarpong OBE is a broadcaster, entrepreneur, and author. Sarpong has enjoyed a 25 year long career in British Television and previously appeared in a number of shows across the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. In 2019, Sarpong was appointed as the BBC’s first director of creative diversity, where she held the position for three years and spearheaded the organisation’s $124 million investment in diverse content. Sarpong also co-founded Women: Inspiration & Enterprise in 2010, aiming to inspire and support women in business, and is the author of three books published by Harper Collins. Sarpong is on the board of Tate art museums and galleries, and in 2023, curated an art experience titled “filling in the pieces”, which was shown in London and Brussels and brought together over 50 artists from across the African Diaspora.
