Iretidayo Zaccheaus
Founder & Chief Executive, Street Souk
The Nigerian founder of Street Souk has created a platform for African streetwear communities to connect with global buyers and partners.

Iretidayo "Ireti" Zaccheaus is the designer, founder and chief executive of Street Souk, one of the largest streetwear conventions in Africa and “African Diaspora” streetwear communities, established in Lagos, Nigeria. Zaccheaus has made significant strides in brokering deals between local street culture entrepreneurs and international brands looking to expand in the region. Her leadership in this space has also provided an export platform for African brands. In 2023, she toured the event, bringing Street Souk exhibitors to other cities on the continent like Accra, Ghana and Cape Town, South Africa and further afield to London, Los Angeles and Dubai.
A business degree and a master’s in marketing equipped Zaccheaus with the strategic insight necessary to identify and cultivate the untapped potential of Nigeria’s burgeoning streetwear scene. The annual event started modestly in 2018, with only 16 vendors, but under her guidance, it has grown exponentially. The 2022 edition of Street Souk drew over 6,000 attendees and featured more than 120 brands. Through her event and other projects, Zaccheaus has collaborated with brands such as Nike, Off-White and Fear of God, as well as musicians like Davido and Tiwa Savage.
