Hiromi Ueda is one of the fashion industry’s most versatile makeup artists. The Japanese-born, London-based talent was appointed by Giorgio Armani Beauty to be its global makeup artist in 2024. Ueda’s style, which ranges from vibrant pop-inspired designs to effortlessly natural looks, has made her a sought-after collaborator for some of the industry’s biggest names.

Ueda has collaborated with photographers such as David Sims, Craig McDean, Karim Sadli, Solve Sundsbo, Alasdair McLellan, Paolo Roversi, Collier Schorr and Tim Walker. She has worked on editorials for titles such as the British and French editions of Vogue, i-D, Dazed and Another Magazine and for clients including Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Dior Homme, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Shiseido, and MAC Cosmetics. Her runway looks have featured at the shows of Missoni, Ferragamo, Jacquemus, Viktor & Rolf and Ann Demeulemeester to name a few.

Ueda's journey into the world of makeup artistry began in her hometown of Osaka, Japan, where she developed a deep appreciation for the transformative power of beauty. Her early career in Japan was marked by a dedication to mastering her craft, which eventually led her to London. There, Ueda's talent quickly gained global recognition.
