Hailey Bieber is a model, media personality, and the founder, chief executive and head of innovation of the beauty brand Rhode, which was acquired for $1 billion by E.l.f. Cosmetics in 2025.
Born Hailey Rhode Baldwin on November 22, 1996, in Tucson, Arizona, Bieber started modeling at age 15, signing first with Ford Models and later joining IMG. She has appeared in campaigns for brands such as Guess, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Moschino and walked international runways.
In June 2022, Bieber launched the skincare line Rhode. Within 11 days the brand earned $10 million in sales, and Rhode drove a total of $212 million in net sales in the 12 months ended March 31, 2025. In May 2025, E.l.f. Beauty agreed to acquire Rhode in a deal valued at $1 billion; Bieber will stay on as chief creative officer and head of innovation. Rhode is especially popular among Gen-Z and Millennials, with viral products like its Peptide Lip Tint helping shape current beauty trends.
Alongside her entrepreneurial achievements, Bieber remains a cultural influencer. Vogue recently highlighted her “tan-maxxing” fashion presence and features her ongoing beauty philosophy — favouring a subtle, “less is more” skincare approach. She’s also received awards, including Beauty Inc Newcomer of the Year (2022), Forbes 30 Under 30 (2023), Inc's Female Founders List (2024) and Front Row’s Beauty Innovator of the Year (2025).
