Guillaume Diop

Danseur Étoile, Paris Opera Ballet

Guillaume Diop bridges ballet and fashion, using his platform as Paris Opera’s first Black étoile to advocate for diversity while captivating major brands like Jacquemus, Cartier and Miu Miu.

Guillaume Diop

Guillaume Diop is an Étoile dancer at the Paris Opera Ballet and one of the most compelling cultural figures shaping French arts today. At just 25, he is a global ambassador for ballet and a powerful symbol of a more inclusive, modern France — hailed by The New York Times as a “modern prince” and embraced by the fashion world for his elegance, talent and quiet defiance.

The French-Senegalese dancer rose to prominence not only through his technical brilliance but also for his role in advocating for greater diversity within the Paris Opera. His breakout fashion moment came in 2020 with a M Le Monde cover by Karim Sadli, aligning his artistic presence with a clear cultural voice. Since then, Diop has become a fixture in the front rows of houses like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Prada, Loewe and Balmain, as well as championing emerging designers such as Y/Project, Coperni and Willy Chavarria. In 2024, he walked the Miu Miu runway and starred in campaigns for Cartier, directed by Damien Chazelle.

Diop’s reach extends far beyond the stage. He has graced the covers of GQ France, Icon, Holiday, Behind the Blinds and FT HTSI. From performing on the rooftops of Paris for the Olympic Games to attending the 2025 Met Gala in a custom Valentino paying tribute to his Senegalese heritage, Diop embodies a new generation of global cultural icons, blending artistry, advocacy and style.
