Gaëlle Drevet
Founder, The Frankie Shop
The French-born, US-based Frankie Shop founder has transformed a multi-brand store on the Lower East Side into a successful brand with a “masculin-féminin” cool-girl vibe.

Gaëlle Drevet is the founder of The Frankie Shop, a brand renowned for its minimalist, utilitarian and oversized aesthetic beloved by the Instagram set. Drevet has taken The Frankie Shop from a one-door retailer to cult-favourite status by understanding what influencers and editors want to wear — from oversized blazers to menswear-inspired boxers — before anyone else.
Born in France, Drevet launched The Frankie Shop in 2014 on New York's Lower East Side, a neighbourhood known for its vibrant culture and eclectic style. Her vision was to offer stylish, high-quality clothing that was both accessible and chic. The brand quickly gained a loyal following, thanks to wearable hits like the boyfriend blazer, padded muscle tees, pleated trousers, and oversized coats. These items, characterised by their neutral colour palettes and clean lines, have become staples for a swath of fashion insiders — and the term “Frankie Girl” has become synonymous with an identifiable, breezy style.
Today, the brand is stocked at major retailers such as Net-a-Porter, Mytheresa, ModaOperandi and Ssense and has directly-operated stores in New York, London and Paris.
