A vocal supporter of Cameron Russell ’s Instagram campaign raising awareness of sexual harassment and abuse against models within the industry, Edie Campbell has been a champion for model rights and spokesperson for ending abusive practices towards models. In an open letter to the fashion industry, published by WWD, she discussed the pervasiveness of model abuse and rebuked the media for its skewed, often shallow coverage of a much larger and more complex problem. She was also among the multitude of models who petitioned for Victoria's Secret to update its stance on sexual misconduct.

The daughter of architect Sophie Hicks, Campbell grew up in West London. She went on to study History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, graduating with a First Class Honours degree.

Her modelling career took off after she appeared in a Vogue feature about up-and-coming young Londoners. She went on to land the Burberry Spring/Summer 2008 campaign alongside Agyness Deyn, Eddie Redmayne and Lily Donaldson, aged 16.

Over the course of her career, Campbell has walked for numerous luxury brands, including Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent and Stella McCartney . A regular in the pages of British and US Vogue, she’s also fronted campaigns for high-end brands like Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs , as well as more commercial brands including H&M and Sandro. Campbell is now represented by VIVA Model Management London and was named Model of the Year at the 2013 British Fashion Awards.

In 2015, she started her own fashion label, Itchy Scratchy Patchy, with her long-time friend and artist Christabel MacGreevy. Since launching, the brand has collaborated with Levi’s, Sunspel, Dickies and Chloé, and is now stocked at Dover Street Market .

Campbell is an accomplished jockey and competes nationally. Her sister, Olympia Campbell, is also a model.
