Deeyah Khan is an award-winning documentary film director and producer. Khan has been a filmmaker for over a decade, and has won two Emmys, a BAFTA, an RTS, and two Peabody Awards. Her work is known for its intelligent confrontation of polarising world issues and has led her to film American domestic terrorists, white supremacists, armed militia groups, and battle-hardened jihadis. Khan is dedicated to spotlighting inequality, racism, war, and social exclusion, in her filmmaking and beyond. She is the founder of Fuuse, a media and education company that aims to highlight diverse, inclusive stories, and in 2016, became the first UNESCO goodwill ambassador for artistic freedom and creativity.
