Cho Gi-Seok
Photographer
The South Korean photographer has brought his artistic eye to the streetwear world and shoots for CR Fashion and Vogue.

Cho Gi-Seok is a South Korean photographer and the founder of the streetwear brand KUSIKOHC.
Known for his surrealist images, Gi-Seok has also applied his artistic approach to his apparel and accessories label KUSIKOHC.
Gi-Seok dreamed of being an art director since childhood, and experimented with the fields of graphic and set design before pivoting to photography.
Gi-Seok captures intricate portraits featuring abstract or unusual details and themes, such as a model with a vintage video camera for an eye surrounded by butterflies, or a rose garden both surrounding and on the face of a model who is crying blood-red tears. He’s photographed for publications such as CR Fashion, KINFOLK, Vogue Korea, Wallpaper China, and Dazed Korea. Meanwhile, he’s worked with brands including Prada and Converse Korea. His work was featured in Sweden’s Fotografiska Museum and is set to travel to New York City next year.
In 2016, he launched KUSIKOHC, a streetwear label that sells apparel and accessories. Following a successful brand reboot, KUSIKOHC reached a defining industry milestone in 2023 when it was named a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize. The brand’s avant-garde, streetwear-inflected designs have since been worn by a global roster of talent, including A$AP Rocky and Chanyeol.
Between 2024 and 2026, Cho’s creative influence expanded into the moving image. He has become a sought-after director for music videos, collaborating with major artists such as Jennie, XG and Kali Uchis. His work as an artist has been exhibited globally; in October 2025, he launched his first major solo exhibition in Asia, “The Coexistence of Imperfection,” at Fotografiska Shanghai, which runs through March 2026.
In 2025, Cho further diversified his portfolio by launching his own fragrance brand, CGS, conceived as an olfactory extension of his visual world. Cho Gi-seok is based in Seoul, where he continues to bridge the gap between fine art, high fashion and commercial innovation.
