Charlotte Stockdale & Katie Lyall

Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall are the duo behind Chaos, a creative consultancy and accessories label.

The label, launched in partnership with MatchesFashion.com in late 2016, makes tech based products including personalised phone cases and charms. Lyall and Stockdale, however, have been working together for 16 years.

The pair met at British Vogue, where Lyall assisted as an intern for Stockdale, a contributing editor. Together, they have worked at i-D and Garage magazine, and collaborated closely with Karl Lagerfeld at Fendi for nine years.

“Charlotte is anything’s possible. I bring the making it possible.” Lyall told BoF in 2016. “We hold each other up at different times, through different talents and emotional abilities,” Stockdale added.

Through Chaos Fashion, the styling and consultancy arm of their business, Stockdale and Lyall have worked on product development for the likes of Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Chanel.

In June 2017, the pair announced the launch of Chaos SixtyNine, a print publication which extends their bold, energetic aesthetic to a celebration of food, travel, fashion and tech. “We view Chaos SixtyNine as a vehicle for creativity for the all the people we have worked with over the years, to have the freedom to shoot concepts that support unusual casting, students, shoots that don’t even have to include fashion at all,” Stockdale told BoF.
