Renowned for launching and managing the careers of some of the most celebrated photographers and image-makers of the last three decades, CLM has established a reputation for enriching the careers of its artists commercially, while protecting the integrity of their work.

Founded in London by Camilla Lowther in 1984, CLM is one of the most influential management agencies in the creative industry. Representing over 70 artists globally, across photography, styling, design and make-up, among other categories, CLM works with the likes of Juergen Teller ,  Shona Heath and Tim Walker . She also worked with the late photographer Corinne Day, who passed away in 2010.

The agency was established in response to a new wave of journals that at the time were taking the industry by storm. Fashion photographers, stylists and agents were questioning and creating a whole new set of boundaries, reinventing their approach in line with titles such as The Face, Blitz, i-D, Arena and Interview — revolutionising image creation as we knew it at the time.

In 1996, Lowther launched CLMUS in New York to service her artists’ needs on both sides of the Atlantic. The agency continues to manage its established, existing artists as well as nurturing emerging talent. In June 2014, CLM and CLMUS were acquired by The Great Bowery, Matthew Moneypenny 's so-called "super agency," which, emulating the Hollywood agency model, brings together image licensing agencies with agencies representing the fashion industry’s most influential stylists, make-up artists, set designers, film-makers and illustrators. “Our job is to force the work rate as high as it can go for the best of the best,” Moneypenny told Fantastic Man in 2015.
