Arizona Muse

Credited as the new face of American fashion by Vogue at the start of her career, New Mexico native Arizona Muse first gained exposure in 2010 when the then relatively unknown newcomer was chosen to open and close Prada’s Spring/Summer 2011 catwalk show in Milan. The model has since fronted advertising campaigns for Alberta Ferretti , Chloé, Diane von Furstenberg , Fendi, Isabel Marant , Jil Sander , Karl Lagerfeld and Louis Vuitton and has been in cast in shows for Altuzarra, Balmain, Burberry, Chanel and Dior.

Muse first began modelling in her teens, appearing in editorials for magazines such as Allure and French Revue de Modes. The aspiring model was signed by Next modelling agency in 2007 and, following a brief sabbatical in 2009 when she fell pregnant with her first child Nikko, returned to New York in 2010 where she was cast in lookbook shoots for Urban Outfitters and walked the Bill Blass showcase. Following her breakout show for Prada, Muse was listed by models.com as one of their top ten newcomers and has been ranked on their Top 50 list. Muse was signed as the face of Prada in early 2011 and shortly after replaced Daria Werbowy as the face of Yves Saint Laurent. In 2012, Muse signed with Estée Lauder and fronted the brands campaign for their Modern Muse fragrance.

A regular in editorials for magazines such as Numéro, i-D, Self Service, Harper’s Bazaar and Love, in 2011 Muse was also cast by Dazed & Confused magazine to front all 60 pages of their March "Collections" issue. The shoot was photographed by Sharif Hamza , Mark Segal, Kacper Kasprzyk and Benjamin Alexander Huseby — each of whom shot an official cover for the issue. It marked the first time a single model had been used to shoot an entire edition. In the same year, Muse was singled out for a commendation by Anna Wintour in her monthly editor’s letter in American Vogue.

Muse is a keen activist for models' rights and sustainability, has tried her hand at designing — including launching a sustainable label with Georgie Macintyre, former artistic director of Matthew Williamson, in 2018 — and runs a blog called Bmusing with her husband, Boniface Verney-Carron, an osteopath from France, with whom she has a second child. The couple live in London with her two children.
