Anya Ziourova

Stylist, Fashion Director at Large at Vogue Hong Kong

The much-photographed editor started at American Vogue in accessories and has helped launched Tatler and Allure in her native Russia.

Anya Ziourova

A member of the so-called Russian Fashion Pack, a group of stylists and editors from the emerging market who have gained visibility on the international fashion scene, Anya Ziourova is the director at large for Vogue Hong Kong and former fashion director of both Tatler Russia and Allure Russia. A favourite of street-style photographers, she is praised for her pared back outfits, pieced together from a mix of high and low labels, and frequently snapped by Scott Schuman and Tommy Ton .

As fashion director, she conceives of the season’s key trends and themes after attending runway shows, and then researches and commissions fashion editorials and cover shoots with appropriate models and photographers. In addition to her magazine work – she helped launch Tatler Russia in 2009 – Ziourova also has a portfolio of clients ranging from high fashion publications like Vogue China and Vanity Fair Spain to mid-range retailers like K-Mart and John Lewis.

Growing up in Saint Petersburg, Ziourova followed fashion by collecting outdated copies of American Vogue and Vogue Italia, taking images from the magazines to seamstresses to make copies of the clothing within the pages.

At 18, she moved to New York and interned in the accessories department at American Vogue before moving on to assist famed stylist Joe McKenna at British Vogue and Vogue Japan.

Ziourova started at Vogue Hong Kong in December 2018 as a fashion director. She was later promoted to director at large in March 2021.
