Anaïs Lafarge, Romain Joste & Guillaume Steinmetz
Founders, The Broken Arm
The founders of Parisian multi-brand boutique The Broken Arm have carved out a niche among creatives and international tourists.

The founders of Parisian multi-brand boutique The Broken Arm have created a curated retail destination in the heart of Le Marais.
The trio met while Lafarge worked in consulting, Steinmetz assisted Jean-Jacques Picart and Joste worked in an art gallery. They immediately shared a common love for an aesthetic that sees fashion as a thread connecting music, art and cuisine, and went on to run an online fashion magazine called De Jeunes Gens Modernes before debuting The Broken Arm in February 2013, named after a ready-made by artist Marcel Duchamps — a snow shovel with the words “in advance of the broken arm."
The boutique stocks only 40 labels, including high fashion designers such as Raf Simons , Comme des Garcons and Marine Serre , as well as labels such as Jacquemus. Rounding up the “experience” aspect of the store is The Broken Arm Café, which has carved out its own niche customer base with creatives from the area.
