Alex Eagle
Founder, Alex Eagle & Creative Director, The Store
The creative director fuses elements of the gallery, home and store to create new retail and co-working spaces.

Alex Eagle is bringing new energy to the European retail scene with her refined, offbeat aesthetic. The woman behind “The Store” retail concepts, as well as her namesake location on London’s Lexington Street, has opened spaces in the Soho House building in Berlin and the Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.
After stints in fashion media and PR, Eagle made her name in retail as creative director of her eponymous luxury concept store, which blends fashion, lifestyle and elements of a gallery. She is also creative director of The Store, a retail and concept work space company with outposts in Berlin, Oxfordshire and London.
After earning an art history degree, Eagle began her career at Tank and Harper’s Bazaar magazines, and worked in PR for British fashion label and retailer Joseph.
In December 2014, she opened the doors to the Alex Eagle Studio in London, a luxury retail space selling high-end fashion, art, design, homeware and beauty — and her own fashion and jewellery collaborations with brands such as Pantherella, Vibi, and Maison Labiche — presented in a setting laid out like a home. She has also since collaborated with luggage start-up Away.
Alongside this, Eagle oversees The Store, which opened its flagship space inside Soho House in Berlin in 2015. The following year, the retail and work space concept opened its second outpost in Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire. (Eagle’s husband Mark Wadhwa is a commercial property developer.) In 2016, The Store launched its most ambitious project yet: a new broadcast, retail and co-working space at 180 The Strand, London, with the likes of Dazed Media and London Fashion Week counting the space as their headquarters.
