Afro Fashion Association (AFA) is a Black-led, volunteer-driven non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the global fashion and creative industries through diversity, equity, & inclusion (DEI). Founded by cultural entrepreneur Michelle F. Ngonmo, AFA operates at the intersection of creativity, culture, and social impact—bridging Africa, Asia, South America and Europe through strategic projects, education, and talent scouting and empowerment.
Serving as a global platform for BIPOC Creatives, AFA has supported to date over 5,400 talents through events, mentoring, and initiatives such as Afro Fashion Week Milan, Black Carpet Awards, TheUnseenProfiles, and communities At Work .
The organization collaborates with leading institutions like Condé Nast, Vogue Italia, nss, Apple Italia, BoF, Fondazione Sozzani, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, and top universities to expand access, visibility, and opportunity for underrepresented communities in the creative industry.
By fostering cross-continental partnerships and creating sustainable pipelines for creative growth, Afro Fashion Association continues to redefine what inclusion and innovation look like in the global ecosystem.
