Former KCD Paris managing director, Michele Giacalone, has been appointed to the newly created position, Tod’s Group said. He will be based in Milan and report to Tod’s general manager Carlo Alberto Beretta.

Giacalone spent 10 years at KCD, where he worked with brands including Maison Margiela, Balmain and Mugler. Prior to this, he worked at Tommy Hilfiger and Alessandro Dell’Acqua in senior communication roles.

Tod’s also recently named influencer and entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni as a member of the board, with a view to leverage her large following and expertise selling fashion on social media.
