The Belgian-born designer is leaving the French fashion label to focus on personal projects, MF Brands Group announced on Monday.

He took on the role at The Kooples in May 2020 as the label looked to reposition its brand. Prior to The Kooples, Van Dorpe worked for Fenty, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss and Max Mara Group.

Van Dorpe’s final collection will be the Autumn/Winter 2021 collection available at the end of May. While a successor has not been named, the brand said in a statement that its Spring/Summer 2022 collection will “capitalise on its design studio and its various creative talents.”
