The Cut’s Executive Editor Heads to Bustle Digital Group

Melissa Dahl joins the company, which publishes Bustle, Elite Daily, Nylon, Romper and The Zoe Report in its lifestyle portfolio, as executive director of health and wellness, overseeing coverage and strategic initiatives, effective April 5. Byrdie’s Faith Xue will take on the role of executive beauty director in a similar role. Both Dahl and Xue will report to Emma Rosenblum, Bustle Digital Group’s chief content officer for lifestyle.

Since Rosenblum’s arrival from American Elle in July 2019, where she was executive editor, BDG has continued to successfully recruit high-profile editorial talent from traditional publishers. Read more on her strategy from BoF’s media reporter, Chantal Fernandez.
