Saks Off 5th Names E-Commerce Chief Operating Officer

Former Amazon operations executive Shivi Shankaran will take on the role at the newly stand-alone e-commerce business effective August 16.

Shankaran joins as the company is looking to grow its team, after parent Hudson’s Bay Company joined with investment firm Insight Partners to spin out the off-price retailer’s online business last month.

Shankaran previously served in an advisory capacity to Saks Off 5th and his career includes a 15-year stint at Amazon.
