Ron Gee Promoted to President and CEO of Shiseido Americas

Gee, who has been the chief financial officer for Shiseido Americas since 2016, will be responsible for Shiseido’s Americas-based brands, including Drunk Elephant and Laura Mercier, effective July 1. He will report to Masahiko Uotani, president and group CEO of Shiseido. A CFO replacement has not yet been named.

Prior to joining Shieseido Americas, the nearly twenty-year beauty veteran served as chief financial officer of the Americas at Coty, Inc. Gee also served in various financial leadership positions at L’Oréal USA, working on brands such as Maybelline, Garnier, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Yves Saint Laurent.

In addition to his role as chief executive, Gee will continue to serve as global M&A leader for Shieseido Group.
