The Budapest-based holding group said Monday it has hired Candice Fragis as group fashion strategist and Sarah Scalisi-Walsh to lead global wholesale. Fragis brings 15 years of experience as a fashion director and brand consultant, previously working at The Outnet, Net-a-Porter and Farfetch, while Scalisi-Walsh’s more than 25 years of experience includes work for Prada, Burberry and Alexander McQueen.

The appointments reflect Vanguards’ ambitions to build a new fashion group. In addition to Nanushka, it owns Aeron and Sunnei.

It also announced new appointments within its stable of brands. William Oliver has been appointed chief marketing officer at Nanushka. Most recently, Oliver was global art and brand director for Bottega Veneta. Elsewhere, Aeron named Carcel founder Veronica D’Souza a responsibility consultant to lead a social responsibility strategy for the brand.
