Mickey Drexler Takes Over as CEO of Alex Mill

Effective immediately, the experienced retail investor and businessman — who led turnarounds at both The Gap and J.Crew — will assume leadership of the basics clothing brand his son Alexander Drexler founded in 2012. The company, which is owned by the two Drexlers, can be found at retailers including Nordstrom and Net-a-Porter, and counts fellow J.Crew alumnus chief Somsack Sikhounmuong as co-founder and creative director.

”Mickey’s success and experience speaks for itself, and with the momentum we are seeing with Alex Mill, we are excited to tap into his vision and intuition as we look to this next phase of growth,” Alexander said in a statement.
