The American brand is teaming up with Harlem’s Fashion Row and its non-profit arm ICON360 to support fashion departments at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). On May 3, the group will launch 21 awards worth a total of $510,000 for schools that encourage Black students to innovate in the world of fashion.

The ‘Closing The Gap’ initiative is intended to address a lack of funding for fashion departments at HBCUs that restricts opportunities for Black students.
