More Allegations Come Out Against Alexander Wang

Seven people spoke out against the troubled designer in interviews with New York Magazine published Sunday, alleging inappropriate behaviour that ranged from groping to unwanted oral sex. Many of the alleged incidents took place at clubs and afterparties, between 2010 and 2019.

The allegations are the latest to surface in a series of widely reported claims against the designer. Attorney Lisa Bloom is representing 11 of Wang’s accusers, according to New York Magazine, but there is no suit yet.

Wang built his personal and professional identity around New York City’s nightlife scene, and it is still unclear if and how these allegations will impact his brand.

A representative for Wang did not provide a comment. A lawyer for the designer declined to comment to New York Magazine on all but one of the claims. The exception was an allegation of unwanted oral sex that took place in Paris in 2013, which Wang’s lawyer described as “impossible.”

The designer has previously denied the claims made against him in a statement to BoF on January 2. “I have never engaged in the atrocious behavior described and would never conduct myself in the manner that’s been alleged,” he said.
