MILAN, Italy — Gucci appointed Micaela Le Divelec Lemmi to the new role of chief consumer officer, according to people with knowledge of the matter, as new Chief Executive Officer Marco Bizzarri continues to revamp the brand's management.

Le Divelec Lemmi, who has worked at Gucci for more than a decade, will be supported by Matteo Mascazzini, who has been recalled from Asia to coordinate worldwide retail operations, according to the people, declining to be identified because the appointments have yet to be made public.

Bizzarri, who joined the Kering SA brand in January, is strengthening management at an operational level after replacing the heads of the creative and merchandizing departments. The CEO is seeking to reignite sales at the $4 billion brand after more than a year of stagnation amid an industry slowdown.

Among other management changes, Giovanni Baldi, a former finance director, has become head of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, according to the people. He replaces Paolo Fattorello, who is overseeing a review of global distribution across all brands at Kering, the people said.
