Burberry COO John Smith to Resign After Seven Years

LONDON, United Kingdom — Burberry Group Plc said chief operating officer John Smith is resigning after seven years at the company.

Smith is leaving to pursue new interests and will step down from the board by summer next year, Burberry said in a statement Friday.

Smith said in the statement he’s exploring several leadership positions in fast-growing international businesses.
