Coperni will not show at Paris Fashion Week for the upcoming season, founders Arnaud Vaillant and Sebastien Meyer said in a statement on Friday, citing a deterioration of their partnership with Tomorrow London, which took an undisclosed stake in the label in 2019.

The pair said they partnered with the London-based showroom-turned-brand accelerator to support the growth of their label, but that relations had since soured.

“This relationship has since deteriorated significantly, to the point that Coperni no longer has the means to support its development,” they said.

The designers added they planned to seek ways to gain control of their label.

“This choice is neither a renunciation nor a creative pause, but a founding decision taken in the best interest of the brand,” they said.

Known for their technologically innovative and unconventional fashion show sets, including hosting a large-scale LAN party in a live e-sports arena, Coperni has been at the forefront of fashion’s move into new runway formats.
