As fashion tentatively returns to in-person shows and events despite ongoing uncertainty caused by the pandemic, the French luxury house remains committed to its strategy of blockbuster international presentations.

Chanel will take its 2022 cruise collection, first shown in the south of France, to Dubai on November 2. It’s a return to the United Arab Emirates for the brand, which presented its 2015 cruise collection there seven years ago. Other luxury brands, like Dior, have previously presented couture and ready-to-wear collections in Dubai, as luxury continues to set its sights on growth in the region.

As the Delta variant continues to spread throughout the world, however, there is increased hesitancy surrounding live events. In July, Chanel held its Fall 2021 couture show in Paris in front of a live audience, and New York Fashion Week, scheduled for the second week of September, is to go on as planned, although international attendance will be limited.
